How to delete services?

I have services left over from several programs I have already deleted such as aluria and norton. and for some reason whenever i have avast start, it says that norton is running. im almost positive this is the problem and so how do i delete the services? I know how to disable them, but they keep coming back. how do i fully get rid of them?

do you mean by using
msconfig or services.msc ?

Yeah i used RegCleaner and RegSupreme and got rid of all the entries. I couldnt' find anything on the symnantec website. I'll check some more.
