    I can't delete it with any of the methods given.

    Now I have a trial Total Security which similarly :(can't be uninstalled in the usual way and keeps on popping up with a list of spurious threats with which it says I'm infected but which Norton says aren't there . It is clearly itself a dangerous installation and creeps in on the back of the Windows Security Center so you think it is part of Windows. It's a devilishly clever piece of nastiness but who can tell me how to delete it. Perhaps in the registry?:(

    Barkerrgf,

    Here are a few web sites that have info on deleting the "Total Security".
    And definitely use the Malwarebytes that they have listed. I have it on all
    my machines and it works great.

    2. http://download.cnet.com/Ad-Aware-A...045910.html?part=dl-ad-aware&subj=dl&tag=top5

    <snip>

    All the above are removal tools that can help with it.
    But I would try the first one that has Malwarebytes, and if it doesn't work, go down the list.
    IN fact, I highly recommend that you run at least two spyware programs. What one doesn't get, the others will.
    Use #1 and #2 first.

    :) I stopped trying to delete this gratis I spent $29 plus tax on SpyHunter. I was amazed at the large number of files installed by the clever Total Security malware many being part of a Trojan. They have all gone now.
