Hey Guys and Girls. Ok so I have rinced the tinternet for this issue and I am happy to put it down to a faulty compaq MB. I just need to know as know-one seems to be answering anywhere. Is there any options to disable somthing called bios shadowing. Is it existent in the computer world and if you cant do it then why does the BSOD tell you its the only way. Allso will linux support dos based progams or is the shell different?

    Regards

It's in BIOS. The wording may be different. BIOS CACHE, etc. But I don't think that's the cause. Can you tell me the BSOD error code like this 0x000000XX? The last 2 digits are the key. There may be a bunch of numbers next to this code in parenthesis. There may also be an offending program like ?????.DLL. All this info will help.
