How to disable DellSupportCenter?

It seems as though DellSupportCenter is slowing down the boot process on my aunt's computer. I've tried removing it from Startup with MSConfig, but no luck; it comes back every time i reboot. I don't see any option within the software to configure it not to load on startup.

I believe I can remove it via Add/Remove programs, but I'd rather leave the program so it can be accessed if needed later. Any ideas how I can keep it from loading upon boot?

    Thanks!

Yes, TSG, I've looked in the options/settings/preferences, but don't see an option offered to check/uncheck load at startup.

You should never use msconfig for that purpose, first of all. For the reason why: http://forums.majorgeeks.com/showthread.php?t=149804

When you go into Programs > scroll over Dell Support > Click on settings > There should be the option to Stop it from running

I have two Dells. I don't run the program. I haven't uninstalled it, but to be honest, I don't see a purpose for it.

If you want to keep it running, I would try to use something like CCleaner to stop it from starting up when you boot. Or a startup program....I think there is one listed in the link I gave you.
