Not a programmer, but trying to do some simple tag editing.
Trying to edit a portion of a 'php' file for add a font change...

Would like to make text in following paragraph a bold font...

But of course the regular html tags do not work.
Have looked (browsed) all over, but nothting seems to work.
The text is sent out in an email for a forum registration process.
    Ideas ?

This looks like plain text. If your email was sent in html form, html tags would work. If it was RTF, you could use
but what you have is plaintext, which can't be bolded, except for such emphasis as /NOTE/ or _NOTE_ or !!! NOTE !!! etc., moving in the direction of ASCII art.

One good thing about plaintext is that virtually every email reader can handle them, while some old or lite ones ignore HTML or RTF.
