Hello, I have windows media player 11 on my computer and my brother updated my computer to xp and now wmp asks me to validate my copy of windows so I can open it. Well, I cant open it or validate because I don't have the original version and now I cant access my music. Is there a way I can access or extract my music? I want to do a reboot of my computer to make it go faster and remove programs I dont use but dont want to do it before I get my music out, I dont want to loose it....help

Your music should be in a folder somewhere on your computer.
Usually, for WMP users this is in the 'My Documents' folder, under 'My Music', but if it is different for you, you might try searching the computer for *.mp3, or *.wma, whatever format your music is in. This should tell you the file location of every file of the specified type that it fines.

As for launching WMP, you'll need to install a legit copy of Windows....
