How to find regestraion number on program disks I have

    I am NEW at this. My question is that I have assorted number of disks ( programs, operating systems ect ) over the years I have misplaced the regestration number. Is there a program that I can download that can tell me the regestrtion number of a disk that I place in my DVD player. Thank Fodard25

    Hi, and welcome to MajorGeeks.

    The registration numbers are either on the discs themselves, or or on the cases/sleeves holding the discs. You can't retrieve the reg. number from the discs by running a program.

    Unfourtually they are not on the computer I would like to install programs but with out the KEY i can not. Thanks for replying I really appreciat the help

    Scrolling down, gives key codes on programs. Opens in a windows browser, print it out for giggles.

    Learn what you have inside of it. More info than you really wanted to know, Lol.

    Hi

    Sadly majority of applications these days and Windows OS versions do not have the serial/registration key on the actual CD, so there is no application available to find a serial/registration key on the disk.

    Only ways are using the apps posted about, but that's only helpful if the application is installed on the PC, or another is if you registered with a company the usage of a particular application they may hold registration details and issue you the saved serial/registration back.

    What programs do you need the key for? Might get lucky if you went to the web sight for the company. Or find a number there to call with the disks serial# .
