    Hi,
Ok i have a old computer which im not bothered about loseing any data on , i tryed installing a distro of linux on it but messed up :(.
But it dosent matter as long as i can format it and do a clean install :)
But it has no OS ( well not a full one ) so i think i would need a bootable formatting programme  and dont know of any. Any names of programmes like that would be great
I have the MS ME bootdisk but that is useless as it dosent have ME on it anymore and the 'format c:' will not work anymore as it says its cannot do this

    thanks in advanced

there must be an option to format your HD while linux setup is runing. otherwise you can make a bootable floppy and make sure that it contains file "format.com", therefore you can format the drive. or you can use the 3d party progs like disk director, it can make a boot disk and format your hd, then you can repartition it to the linux partitions.
