How to get rid of Win32LovgateADC worm

I have been infected by this for about a week now but no matter what i do i cannot get rid of it. It hijacks my I.E browser in that it adds a tool bar and search bar. What is more worrying though is that it opens my unread e-mails and makes programmes behave erratically.

I have tried all the recommedations you have made "Read me first before asking for support". The Symantec security check returns a result that says my system is secure and finds nothing, ditto the other test. Although i could not run either in Safe Mode, they would not download. also my system said there was a security issue regarding Trends Active X download.

I ran all the programmes you recommended but they did not find Lovgate only tracking cookies. I have quite a few spyware tools on my PC and my anti virus is AVG. All my e-mails are screened but this S.O.B somehow got through.
The only programme i run that finds this is No Adware, it does not destroy it though,it only temporary removes it until i reboot, it opens my e-mail though whatever i do. The search with No Adware show W32.Lovgate.ADC.\Windows\System32\dllcache\ie>Files
I have looked there but cannot find it although it must be embedded deeper somewhere.

I am fairly new to all of this and this is the first time that i have had such a bad problem. I can supply a log from running HiJack this but am worried about removing the wrong things.

I run Windows XP Pro and can give you any info you need to help me get rid of this mother. I have searched the Web but cannot find anything specific to this particular S.O.B.

Please help before i go nuts this is really bad news especially for the many others who maybe getting infected from me.

If ther is anything else you need please let me know so that this thing can be destroyed.

what version of NoAdware are you using?

 

Noadware version 2.01. Could you also tell me what difference the ADC means at the end of lovgate as opposed to say MM.

 

the letters represent different variants of it.

2.01 is a bogus scanner. Only v3.0 is good.
