Is there a way of identifying the core used in the 9800 pro cards without actually having the card? I'm thinking of purchasing the sapphire 9800 pro from newegg (http://www.newegg.com/app/ViewProductDesc.asp?description=14-102-362&depa=1) but want to make sure it has the R360 core. Neither newegg or sapphire seem to have any available specs on the subject matter. Also, does anyone have any comments on flashing the 9800 pro to an XT? (http://www.rojakpot.com/default.aspx?location=3&var1=92&var2=0) Any help/advice is appreciated.

Buy a 6600gt instead,it may cost a few more bucks but its worth it!

afaik, the only surefire way of telling is by taking off the heatsink and looking at what is written on the GPU itself ... I bought my 9800pro in july at circuit city and it has a r360 core(everest says it's a 350) so odds are whatever 9800pro you buy will be the 360

but I must agree with rikki ... if you're going to buy a graphics card now, go for a 6600 or 6800 or x800 as anyone of them will be faster than a modded 9800pro
