how to install a program without restarting

Hi all

I am having the worst luck with this. I downloaded a new program that i purchased on my computers with xp and vista . The vista computer downloaded and install it great. no restart needed. but the xp computer is asking for restart which I cant do at the moment due to some reasons. Is there way to install without restart?

 

You may be able to kill the installer process through Task Manager, if it's not giving you the option to restart later. This may or may not prevent the system from restarting... most of the time it prevents it. Depending on the program, your computer may have to be restarted before you use the program, though.

 

well not sure if i should do that or not. basically my problem is this, I bought a program that enables me to change a webpage over to jpeg format. Is there another way to save the webpage its like 6 pages, dont want to use paint? But I need the colors and graphics exactly how it appears. This program that does it "universal document converter" does it all, but wants me to restart before installing, which I cant do because the webpage has figures and numbers from few days back and the content will be lost as webpage no longer exists in that form. It only happens with xp not with vista. Hope you have some more answers

 

You can save the webpage onto your computer before restarting, and then open the offline saved version once you have restarted the computer. What browser are you using?

 

Just a question. The program you purchased was that for use on 1 machine only or not?
