The hard drive in my PC died on me last week. I've replaced it and started installing windows on the new drive which is going fine. I have a licence key for MS Office 2007 Small Business Edition but no CD, just a card with the licence no. on it. How can I install this product without a CD?

I thought I could download the trial version from MS and enter the key, but I can only find downloads for office 2010.

    Any advice greatly appreciated.

    Thanks!

    Hi

Where did you get the original source files to install Office from, was it from a digital download of Office at all and if it was did you have to signup online to download? as their maybe a link on the card and if you can remember your Passport ID and Pass then you may see it in your account still for download.

I know Digital River is a reseller of MS Office as listed on the download pages of Office trials and purchases so they handly the digital downloads, but they don't seem to have Office 2007 now either, so think Iain's suggestion of the CD is a goodun.

Thanks for your help guys. I feel a little stupid now, after looking on the back of my licence card, there is indeed a link to order a backup disk. Following that link and then clicking through a couple more took me to here: http://www.microsoft.com/office/backup2007/en-us/default.mspx - where I was able to download the setup files rather than wait for a disk.

    Thanks again for your help.

Thanks for the feed back and I am pleased that you managed to get Office back up and running. Thanks for posting the link to it also as it will help others with a similar issue, as it already has done so ;).
Any more issues please don't hessitate in making a new thread and some one will try and assist you again in resolving the problem.

Thanks for this info, Iain. Like Alex, our laptop crashed due to a bad hard drive a couple of weeks ago so now I have to reinstall our add-on programs including Office 2007. Unfortunately, I have misplaced our CD and because it was from a boxed version I bought at BJ's Wholesale, I can't use the link Alex provided to download a backup copy. (According to what I read, that link is only good if you bought a "medialess" edition.)

I'm still trying to locate our original CD so I've bookmarked your link for now. Either way I want Office back; OpenOffice just isn't working for me.

Mind if I suggest that once you've got your system back, if not sooner, you get an imaging program? Problems like this really shouldn't happen now with perfectly capable, free imaging programs available, such as Easeus Todo
