I have PC running on Windows 7 Home Premium.
Last year I reinstalled Windows. Just to clean up the machine.
Before I did this, installer asked for backup and I did create a full backup. Took LONG time but it did.
Well, thing is, now with tax time around the corner, I can not get to that backup. Looked everywhere - on PC HD, backup HD - not a sign of it. And I have my 2013 tax file in that backup that I need now for 2014 tax.
Looked several times. No sign of that backup folder. :cryI have 1TB backup HD.
Any suggestions how to locate it?

Found it. It had rather unusual name. "My name - PC" image file. I located it via Windows restore. Would have never thought that's the one. Now have to dig through gigs of data to locate the tax file.

Hi Glad you found it and yeah if you don't manually name it it gets the name you gave the PC if you added one or default code.

Could use Search to try and narrow down your digging through data, with a name and or date of file eg. tax 2014 etc
