I came across this recipe when doing work research(no snickering,I cook for a living)LOL:)
Out of an old french cookbook here is Nun Farts
Yield: 40 little farts. Or, to make One Large Fart, pour batter into a heavy cast iron pan and bake in a 375 oven for one hour.

    6 T butter
    2 tsp sugar
    pinch salt
    1 tsp grated lemon rind
    4 eggs
    1 cup sifted flour'
    1 tsp vanilla
    1 tsp dark rum (optional)
    Oil for deep frying
    Confectioner's sugar

Compine butter sugar salt and lemon rind with 1 cup water in a saucepan and bring the mixture slowly to a boil. When butter is completely melted, remove from heat. Break each of your eggs into a separate cup and have these ready.
When you remove the pan from the heat, add all the flour at once, stirring until all of it is absorbed. When the flour has been absorbed into a paste, turn the heat to medium high and return the pan to it. Cook this mixture for 3-4 minutes, stirring constantly, scraping sides and bottom, until the batter clings together in a solid mass, and takes on a glossy look. Turn off the heat and remove the pan from the stove.

Beat in the vanilla, rum, and allow the batter to cool a bit. Then make a well in the center, pour in 1 egg, beat it into the batter until incorporated. Proceed with the remaining three eggs, beating them in one at a time. The pastry should be "flexible and soft, firm enough to hold its shape and not at all runny." Set it aside and let it rest for 45 minutes.

Fill a dpee skillet or deep fat fryer 2/3 full of oil and heat to 360. Drop the batter into the hot oil a teaspoonful at a time. The farts will puff up to about four times their original size, so don't crowd them in the fryer. When golden brown, drain on paper towels and sprinkle with confectioner's sugar.

MMMMM warm farts w/ a glass of cold milk (sorry could'nt help it) LOL

That's similar to a Greek pastry I made once, forget the name though. (I'd love a good Moussaka recipe if anyone has one. Has to be tried and tested)

    Here's my favourite recipe,

Pick up the phone and dial 1481 1111.

When the phone is answered, order a meat lovers pizza with barbeque sauce, and a ham and pineapple pizza, a garlic bread, and a 1.25L Pepsi from Pizza Hut for $19.95 delivered.

Wait for about 25 mins, then answer the front door.

Make sure you have the exact amount so you don't have to give them a tip. :)

Wow, thanks Lev, will do. Moussaka is one of my favourites.

I love cooking, and I'm always on the lookout for decent recipes.

I have heaps of cookbooks, but most are too trendy. I love good ol' fashioned cooking.

I knew someone around here likes cook . Here's one of our favorites .:) :) :)

    PEANUT SALAD
    A Family Tradition

We make this at Christmas , Thanksgiving , and for Easter . My Grandmother taught me how to make this when I was 9 years old , ( 1961 ) . We still make it every holiday . It can also be made at anytime .

1 medium cabbage ( chopped fine , cole slaw type )
    1 jar ( 16oz or 500 grams ) peanuts : salted or unsalted ( finely chopped )
    1 package ( 4oz or 225 grams ) saltines (crackers) salted ( crushed fine )
    mayonnaise
    sugar ( to taste )
salt to taste ( I use the salted peanuts and saltines so I don't have to add any more salt .)

Use a food processor to grate the cabbage and to chop the peanuts and saltines .

Put grated cabbage , chopped peanuts and crushed saltines into large bowl . Mix .
Add enough mayonnaise until the cabbage , peanuts and saltines hold together . Add sugar to taste the salt to taste . Put in refrigerator . Best to make at least 4 hours before serving .

Optional : 1 medium carrot ( grated ) may be added for color . Modify or change to your taste .

    Enjoy

    Youngins' call it "Viagra" ;
Us oldtimers call it "Fix-A-Flat" .
