I have a raspberry pi project I'm working on. I flashed the image and have been tweaking it for the last few weeks. I finally have it exactly how I want it. Before I start using it, I would like to create a perfect 1:1 image of my setup, with all my updates and changes, that I can flash to this or any other SD card anytime I want in the future (to replace my original image). What's the best way to do that, so I always get the exact starting point back I have right now. I don't want to have to redo all this work every time.

Thanks for the info. I downloaded Win32DiskImager and tried to image my Retropie SD card. However, I run into problems when I get there. On my Windows 7 desktop, it gives me an error, stating it can't find readable data. On my Windows 10 laptop, it sees two disc images on the card (both kernel), but it also gives an error that the data is not readable/not there.

This was done on a brand new SD card, flashed and full reformatted before I used it. So I find it hard to believe it's suddenly corrupt. Any ideas why I'm running into these issues? Could it be a Retropie thing?

Yeah you can ignore those messages.. Windows cant read the PI format, but it image software will. So like I said you might get some Windows warnings about the card being blank, just close them. When you open "this pc / my computer" the sd will show as 2 drives - select the fist drive letter in win32diskimager and it will make a complete image.

What I mean is, it won't lead me read the image to a file. It's getting stuck and I can't move forward in the imaging process. Even if I close the boxes. They just keep repeating themselves.
