How to make file executable?

    Just curious, is it possible under Windows XP to make a file of a certain non-standart extension to behave as executable?

    For example, if i have app.exe and i renamed it to app.zzz, can i tell Windows that *.zzz files are ones it has to run, but not "open with"?
