How To Make Windows Completely Stop Trying To Correct My Typing?

I've always felt Windows guesses wrong about what I'm trying to type far too often, regardless of which app I'm in – including Edge and earlier browsers.

Any suggestions?

Turn off auto correct in Edge.

...right-click on a word that has been autocorrected. It should list the original word with the option to restore it. Beneath that, there should be an option to either disable autocorrect for that site or permanently.

Note: I do not run Windows 10 nor have Edge installed anywhere so I'm not able to test what I found.

Hi, plodr, thanks for the suggestion. In Windows 11, which is what I'm running nowadays, it turned out to look like this:

Edge > Settings > Languages > Writing assistance > toggle off Use text prediction and Enable grammar and spellcheck assistance.

I made those tweaks, and I'll let you know how well they worked. Thanks for replying.
