I don't know if this makes sense but is annoying me greatly. eg. I open Major Geeks and then decide to open File Explorer or any other program from the taskbar. As soon as I leave the taskbar to view the new window it disappears and MJ comes back to the foreground.. In order to use the new window I have to reduce the first window. I did not have this problem with my beloved Windows 7 so is there a setting or trick I am not using? I have tried google but cannot phrase the problem in a way that gets me answers.

While you have a web browser in full screen, a simple single click on any task bar icon, including folders, simply opens that up with the browser still visible. That works on this Windows 10 laptop (I use a mouse) with no problem. So your issue is not Win 10 related

Yep, the window opens up but as soon as I move the mouse it disappears to the back. I guess I will figure it out sometime, I have Win 10 on a laptop so will see if that gives me a clue as it doesn't happen there.

That happens with a mouse when you are dragging the pointer along the task bar.

doesn't matter whether I drag the mouse along the task bar or not. Soooooooooo frustrating.

    Good day and hello,
I was wondering what would happen if you hooked up an external mouse. Something like this?

    It might help...

Which web browser are you using.

I normally use a secondary screen to help with that.

I have 3 screen setup on my desktop.

The secondary i use for my laptop.Using the HDMI input,It's a lot more easier with two screens than one screen.A wireless mouse does the same thing as the mouse pad on the laptop. The only real difference is the one mouse is a PS2 type and the other is a wireless that requires a battery to run.Either double AA or Triple AA.

And when i use a wireless mouse on my laptop i disable the PS2 mouse on the laptop be cause it causes issues when typing.Be cause the PS2 mouse i have is too sensitive to touch.

But the PS2 mouse will return back on once you reinstall windows or reformat drive.

Two possibilities are that the web browser is configured to run Always on top or that File Explorer, via your shortcut, is somehow set to always start in the background.

Check the properties and settings for the browser and look for a setting like Stay on Top or Always on top.
If you find something like that, unselect that option.

I have seen this problem with Windows 10 discussed elsewhere, but no clear solution has been found or presented,
at least none that I could find so far.

You can manage which Apps are allowed to run in the background, but this does not apply to Programs.
