How To Monitor Traffic On Your Router.

This is for a Cisco-Linksys WRT54GL Wireless-G Broadband Router. Is there any freeware to see a list of all computers going through the router at any one moment? I just want a way to see if anyone out there figured out the password and is stealing internet access!

(And I'm ho[ping for true freeware cos I'm stingy and I don't like software that lies and says it's freeware when it's really shareware.)

Use Google!

A very popular program Advanced IP Scanner will scan your LAN and display all devices using the router.
Most routers can be logged into using some form of digital device and you can look at some info that the router will display.

I Know that I was clearly told by a moderator not to tell users to refer to Google or Search for an answer but I can clearly see that you havn't searched because I was capable of finding an answer to your question (Even though I allready knew the answer but just to prove a point that the answer is out there.)

Well, I suspect the trouble with G*ogle sometimes is that our search results are bought and paid for by the corporations. But I'm a cheapo looking for true freeware. So I figured I'd just ask the experts !

 

You could try Smoothwall or pfsense router projects. Otherwise, DD-WRT or Tomato is a third party firmware option for your existing equipment.
