How to open Wad files on my game?

    I play this online game and when I open its files, I see Wad Files, is there anyway I can open these to see the content inside of them? A program I can use to open them?

    You can open any kind of file using Notepad to see what's inside.

    I have moved this to the games forum where it will get a more targeted response.
    Not necessarily. If the file is not encoded in a manner that Notepad can recognise it will show garbage characters. For instance, you can't open a video file in notepad, or most game files.

    WAD files can be unique to the game and an editor thus can be unique to the game in question and what is the game? (Wizard101 is linked to online only games)

    But a WAD editor for doom may work HERE but I fear each game has specific editors to hack the game files.

    Generally game files are not viewable unless you get to the code level of the said game, so in reality its not worth reading the game code unless you understand it.
