Do you mean like speak in a mic and have windows type what you said?
If so then try speech recognition i think it comes with Office XP, i tried it before it's hard to get the computer to know what you said, it's much easier to just type it

no...i'm not talking about speech recognition or anything like that...i'm talking about regular files from a folder. - example: i want to print a cover for an audio cd that i burned. on that cover i want to print the song titles which are part of a certain folder. can i print that list of songs without typing them? ( a "copy and paste" sort of thing...) thanks

You can use a cmd prompt (cmd.exe) to navigate to the folder.

    Then type dir > list.txt

Open the file, it will be saved in the current directory then print it.

You get something that looks like this:

    Directory of C:\Documents and Settings\Jeremy\My Documents\My Music\iTunes\iTunes Music\Slechtvalk\At The Dawn Of War

If you just want the titles you might try using dir /b > dirlist.txt

If you Open Notepad and type just the above text in the file and save as type .bat you can just double click it to get your file listing w/o going to cmd.
