how to reformat

    well I cant get my xp to boot up, it goes to blue screen than none stop reboots never opeing up in xp. I got the disk and tryed to reinstall xp but got stuck at blue screen. How can I reformat the HD without booting up or using xp cd because I cant.

    I would try and boot into safe mode

    Tap F8 when your pc is booting and then select safe mode.

    comp wont boot at all, blue screen in all safe modes, even tryed to toss the boot dick and got a 1/4 a way and stuck on the blue screen.

    A reinstall may not help. It sounds like hardware is failing.

    Do you remember what the bsod said?
