how to remove avast

How do I remove avast from my cpu? I am running windows 7 home edition, avast does not show up under the uninstall programs I have tried Glary utilities, Obit uninstaller. Can anyone help?

even go to Program files removing avast like this

C:\Program Files\AVAST Software

and go to Start - Run regedit navigating to

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\AntispywareBot
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\AppDataLow HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\AutoGatherArtical
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\AVAST Software
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\AVAST Software

removing all of these files :wave

Thank you for the help. I went to the regedit and tried to locate the Avast registry files, I was only able to locate one file. I also tried the control panal uninstall method along with other uninstall prorams. I finally went to the Avast website and yet again had to download ANOTHER file to remove the program. I find this very odd that the I would have to go to the registry to remove a program. I find it disturbing that I would have to download another program from the authors site, reboot my CPU in safe mode to remove this program. There is no logical reason that these file should be this hidden. It's the same with McAfee:confused. I almost believe that this could be a spyware program or a virus posing as antivirus software.:confused
