How to remove Norton

For some reson I can't get all of Norton Anti-Virus and System Works off my computer I've tryed the tools that Norton has on there web site I thought there was a way to manualy remove it but I can't find it any more on there web site

 

Is there a better Anti-Viruse soft where out there?

 

I like Avast, and its free

 

I still need to know how to get Norton off my comp

 

Which version of Norton Anti-Virus and System Works do you have installed?

I had anti-virous 2005 and system works 2005 there are alot of crap files and reg entries left over I think, stuff like live update and another symantec file folder that won't go away
