How to remove/uninstall Avira?

Hi again, I recently picked up a used computer that has Avira installed and would like to remove it, but it does not show up in my programs.

The shortcut is on my desktop, but when I click remove, it tells me that I have to uninstall it.

I can't quite figure out how to remove the program.

try looking under control panel then add/remove programs (windows xp) or programs and features something like that (windows vista) look for the anti virus there and then uninstall it or remove and it will uninstall the anti virus program.
