Hi, I know I posted something in a forum but Google removed Discussions search many years ago and I have been like a fish out of water since, Why stop folk finding an answer to something in a forum ?

I hate them for that, so much for a free world, worse than the Russian Putin !

Anyhow I have spent an hour trying to find a way to add an addon or whatever to Firefox or Chrome, and I normally use Firefox so would prefer that, what do I need to do to be able to search forums for a few key words that I know will find what I want.

I see an addon for Chrome, I see absolutely no way to download it at all. stupid site.
then I see a button uninstall it, so I have it ...eh? I cant see it anywhere. It should be under the window you type words in so as to select it to search discussions, I would presume.

One for firefox that is stable bugfree and works is what I want.

Found an article that lists out some popular forum sites searches - maybe bookmark a few of those? There's also a blip about creating your own searches and bookmarking them. Click here for article.

I go to the forums I frequent and for example at MG which is running an old version of XenForo, I hover over my username and select Your Content. All the threads I've started or posted in are listed with dates.

Another forum has an Activity option and I can search that way.

Simple machines, forum software, allows me to select Show Posts under a section of my profile.

Forums using newer XenForo software allows me to click my profile picture and select Your Content.

    Hi
Discussions Button for Chrome would be one option, though I normally use Firefox and dont see anything for Mozilla firefox, Dont know what PPC user is.
I select Chrome and instead of some add on it wants me to install Chrome, yet I have the latest Chrome, I cannot see how to download it and add it to Chrome.

To be Honest I am appalled that Chrome removed the ability to search forums, FORUMS ARE THE PLACE TO FIND ANSWERS. Is google owned by Putin ?

why hasnt Firefox the ability to search forums ?

Why are there so few straightforward options here, has no one made an addon for Firefox ?

I have by the way searched the forum I thought it was in, using my profile, all that stuff, and found nothing, so I must have used a different forum.

Even my word sheet with all links to my posts fails me.

So how do I get hold of something as I didnt see anything I can use, first two said win10, I am win 7.

Why does Chrome not have a download for the search thingy ?
