I have had an HP Envy scanner/printer for years. It would automatically come on when my computer was turned on. I had to purchase a new printer, the exact same model like my previous one. It will only print what I place on it. It doesn't even respond at all when I click 'print' while I'm on my computer. Used to be, it would automatically print when I click on screen, but not since I hooked up new printer of the exact same model. It's HP Envy 4520, and it still shows on list of my 'device & printers', so I know it's already downloaded on here from my previous printer. What can I do to make it print when I click on the screen of my computer to print?

How is the printer connected? USB or Ethernet? What operating system are you using? Hit the Windows Key + R, type
    Code:
    explorer shell:printersFolder
then take a screen shot and upload it?
Is the printer "greyed out or faded" indicating it is offline?

This is a HP Envy 4520 printer/scanner. This is the screen that came up after typing 'explorer shell:printersFolder. I originally had another HP Envy 4520 printer/scanner, but when it stopped working, I bought another one that was identical to it. So in my folder it shows that one of the HP Envy's has a green check mark on it and says 'HP Envy 4520 series' says 'copy 1' under the printer picture. The other identical HP Envy series doesn't say anything under it. I'm wondering if the 'copy 1' of them is the past one I had, and just never deleted, and maybe the one that doesn't have a green check mark on it is a symbol for the new one. If that's the case what do I do, to make the newest printer be the one that works from clicking on computer screen? At the moment the only thing the printer will do is print a copy of the page I place on it. I want to be able to click 'print' on my computer screen and my printer, print it. It's USB and I have Windows 7. I know 7 is outdated, but my previous printer (identical to this one) worked fine on Windows 7. IMG_20230808_203802841.jpg

Usually copy 1 is the second printer. They both look greyed out in the picture - "not connected". Delete the old one, open the copy 1 and click properties, and check the port tab, see what port is checked.
    or
Unplug the USB from the PC, delete both printers (leave the drivers if asked), reboot and plug it back in. If Windows doesn't "see it" do that command and use the Add Printer button to start the install.
