    Hi all

I am trying to post a clickable link to my website. link was provided by a company I want to promote
    what I have is:
    Code:
    http://www.sergey-******.com/?i=*****
and I starred out some names in it. and coded it. But, basically, it's a simple URL that, when placed on my site, does not work as direct link. non - clickable.
Getting anything from that site, due to its remoteness, is an adventure. Is there any steps I can do to turn it into clickable link? Funny enough, I placed it into Skype message, and it does work there as a direct link. I am using Word Press template for my site. Maybe it's something in my site settings?

    Greetings, ukrkoz...

Not real sure if this is what you're looking for, but most markup languages require some sort of anchor or link tag. For example, a link in an HTML (Hyper-Text Markup Language) page would look like this:

    Code:
    <a href="http://www.sergey-******.com/>your site</a>
Note the anchor tags (<a...>, </a>).

Skype probably enclosed your address with link tags automatically when it saw the "http"- I've seen some text editors/word processors do the same. If you use the "Insert Link" button here at MajorGeeks, you'll notice that the link is surrounded by "url" tags, a form of link tags.

As an aside: this really has nothing to do with networking, per se - you might be better served by posting in the Programming forum. Also, w3schools is a good online source for all things HTML.

Yeah, wasn't sure myself where to place it... Saw "internet questions" and stuck it here.

Thank you. I think, I have the answer though. I'll experiment with trying to make that link clickable. Also sent request to them boys, maybe the'll fix it on their end. I should be able to code it myself. Trial and error always works.:-D

    Once again, appreciated.:wave

    Oh the wisdoms of internet

So, I tried HTML-ing it and it did not work. But because I tried this via my g-mail, sending emails to self, I found that g-mail automatically turns it into a direct link.
Well, I simply c/p-d THAT link into my site and guess what - it all works fine now. :drool
Go figure. Whatever did it - amen.:cool
