How to use a Shared Drive to run Install ?

    Is there a way to use a Shared Out Optical Drive on My Home Network to run setup onto another PC ?
    Because My Notebook is missing it's CD Reader & I have no way to replace it for a while,but I need to replace My OS rite away.
    If so could someone please give me some direction because I've gone round & round Google,Vivisimo & Web Ferret
    with this one untill I finally just have to ask for help! :eek:

    Compal ACY23/XPproSPIIss/128mbRam 1 free slot/Belkin Router(F5D5231-4)
    Compal Notebook Bios does list PXE Boot as an option but not familiar with PXE.
    It has 2 USB slots / 2 PS2 Ports / 2 PCMCIA Slots / 1(NIC)RJ45 port / 1 Serial port

    PC's on LAN are 1 Dell Dimensions4550/ 1 eMachine w1700/ 1 eTower 600is & of course the Compal ACY23 notebook.

    you have to build a bootable floppy that loads the network card driver and then access the shared drive and copy over the files. this may help
