How to use X BOX on line

My son wants to use his x box on line.How do we go about this.He has the game's and I have it on the internet.Does he have to pay a fee,and how do we go about this?we herd something about a starter kit??? Thanks in advance Chuck

 

personally i have no experience using an xbox online but i do know a few things; you have to subscribe to a service called Xbox Live, and yes, you can buy starter kits at stores. They usually contain a mic and prepaid minutes. After that expires you will have to pay a monthly fee, not sure how much though. Have fun!

I use xbox live. Just go to any game store (like EB or Gamestop) and buy an xbox live starter kit. That kit should be good for a year of xbox live. After that, you will be charged monthly for xbox live. Setup instructions for the xbox live account will be in the starter kit

 

You can also pay a yearly fee which works out cheaper.
