I have Malwarebytes Premium and Avira Antivirus Pro.

My Malwarebytes Web Protection won’t turn on.

On their webpage “Malwarebytes for Windows Real-Time Protection turns off”
    https://support.malwarebytes.com/docs/DOC-1115

    Malwarebytes offers two workarounds:

    1. Upgrade to the latest version of Malwarebytes.

This is no help — I’ve already got the latest version.

    2. Add Malwarebytes to your anti-virus’ exceptions.

But on Avira’s webpage “What is Avira Real-Time protection and how can I configure it?”
    https://www.avira.com/en/support-for-home-knowledgebase-detail/kbid/1790

and on Avira’s KnowledgeBase webpage “how to permit a program that is blocked by Avira”
    https://answers.avira.com/en/question/how-to-permit-a-program-that-is-blocked-by-avira-32758

it says to configure Avira, click on Extras in Avira’s menu bar and select Configuration. OR press F8.

But there IS no menu bar present, and F8 does nothing.

If you look at the screenshots at the bottom, you’ll see that the menu bar simply isn’t there.

On Techwalla’s webpage “How do I White-List Programs on Avira?”
    https://www.techwalla.com/articles/how-do-i-white-list-programs-on-avira

it says to open the Avira Control Center, and click on Configuration at the top-right.

The Avira Control Center apparently refers to some earlier version of Avira Antivirus Pro, and at any rate, when I open Avira, there is no Configuration at the top-right.

Can anyone tell me how to do this?

Thanks for the link. They were able to provide the correct instructions for the latest version of Avira Antivirus Pro.

It turned out I needed to declare Malwarebytes as an exception in Avira. So I did so, but that didn't work, at first. So I went to the Malwarebytes forum, and they suggested upgrading to the very latest version. Although I had tried that before, this time it worked! Go figure...
