Have you tried to uninstall MSN Messenger through Add/Remove Programs in the Control Panel ? (Windows Component)

Adaware SE has a plugin that disables the MSN messenger. You might be interested in looking into this!

    HI,

Goto start then click on run, type msconfig then click ok. Check selective startup and then click the startup tab on top.

Find msmsgs.exe in the list and uncheck it, then click apply and then ok, you will be promt to restart.

When you reboot a message will appear telling you you are in selective start up mode or something like that just check the box saying don't show this message again.

What you are doing is removing it from the startup group, you can always go back in and turn it on if needed.

    Rick
