how useful are emails?

    hi all,

    i wondered if it is possible to tell what country an email was come from. obviously i am looking to do it legally, but didn't know if that information was available or not.

    get the IPs from the mail header and google them.

    You can try http://wandering-ips.com. There is an option to load and analyze external file; so if you save your e-mail (along with header) to a file and then analyze it with wandering ips you should receive an exact location of sender.
