I know how you feel BT, it happened to me once and it had a lot of cash in it so now it's normally no more that $10 and credit cards that are all registered with one telephone number so if i loose it again 1 phone call and all the cards are blocked.
It gives me peace of mind.

I lost my wallet last week actually. I had it in my shirt pocket for whatever reason (I never do before) I think it was just wet from hot day. Anyways I bent over in parking lot and it fell out. I didn't know till later at night when I am in different town buying gas. Anyways I had to borrow money from someone then go home and lucky found it in trash can near the parking lot. I found my cards, but social security card and money was gone. So I had to call that in.. just hope things work out for me.:cry

Mine is going about the same, BT. :mad. I ahve my own issues, tho, but things will be better tomorrow, after I see the lawyer... rolleyes I sure hope you find your wallet... I keep mine in my purse. I have lost my coupon caddy many times, but it usually shows up again, up until this last time, I left it in a shopping cart... Never seen it again... Somebody got some really cool coupons, and a calculator... yeah, I'll take a copy of your book too!

My days are always on the up side. I don't carry cash on me, normally. I do like to have a little "walking around money" but don't always find it necessary. Today is an especially good day for me, really. I got out of the office this morning for about an hour, and the day has went (thus far) as well as it could.

For a Wednesday, I have no complaints. I have a lot of things going on all of the sudden, but I tend not to take on, more than I can deal with on my own.

Tonight I am going to my parents house to do some work, and make some extra money, and the rest of the week (aside from being at the office through the day) will be filled with (and I think I take this from a user here) maximus relaximus.

Well, on the subjects of gripes. I decided to swap I.S.P.'s and phone companies after my old carrier told me that they won't be upgrading their services and have no intention of doing so in my area. So fine, I tee up everything with an alternate carrier that has no problem upgrading my services and at a better price. So everything should be hunky-dory, right? Errm, no. Supposedly, I'm not supposed to have more than a fifteen minute interruption in service, so fair enough on that, so I thought.

Yesterday, I have no phone, no net, no nothing. So I wait patiently for hours. Eventually I get Jack of all this, as I'm losing business with no communication. Eventually get some dude in India, who redirects me to anther dude in India and says sorry you'll definitely be connected in fifteen minutes. I'm trying to convince this barely understandable Pigeon English guy that I haven't even received my modem yet, so the heck is that going to happen, hmm? Tells me, so sorry the modem will be delivered tomorrow. Okay, annoying, but I accept this.

The next day the connect kit gets delivered - to the wrong address. So I sort that out, via India again. Then it gets delivered without telling me, when I'm not home, with "I.D. check required for receipt".

This was now starting to get irritating. Like how the heck did it get delivered to the wrong address with an I.D. check required. :confused.

Anyway, I eventually received the connect kit, but then guess what - the password don't work, and I keep getting kicked:mad. So I get referred, (yep, you guessed it) back to my illiterate 'friend' in India. He sends me new passwords and I.D.'s and I'm finally connected - Woo! Not quite. Now the carrier Company won't accept me to its log-in page. So after refusing to get shunted off to India again, I get the area manager for Sydney, (I'm 3,000 miles away in Western Australia - go figure).

Welp, as you can see, I eventually got it sorted, but what a Marathon! Now I've lost my Caller I.D. service on the land-line after getting charged extra for it. Ah well, this will be the next round of chaos, I guess.

Other than that, things are just dandy, eh.rolleyes

Well Good news! My Sweetie found my wallet today. So why don't I feel happy about it? Maybe because he found it behind a box that had some cloths on it that I had folded but didn't put up yet, that was in front of the chest of draws. We both removed the clothes off the box 2 or 3 times each and never seen it there. Either We have ghost or I'm going nuts .

A.A.A.D.D. - Age Activated Attention Deficit Disorder.
    This is how it manifests:

I decided to wash my car. As I start toward the garage, I notice that there is mail on the hall table. I decide to go through the mail before I wash the car. I lay my car keys down on the table, put the junk mail in the trash can under the table, and notice that the trash can is full.

So, I decide to put the bills back on the table and take out the trash first. But then I think, since I'm going to be near the mailbox when I take out the trash anyway, I may as well pay the bills first.

I take my checkbook off the table, and see that there is only one check left. My extra checks are in my desk in the study, so I go to my desk where I find the bottle of soda that I had been drinking. I'm going to look for my checks, but first I need to push the soda aside so that I don't accidentally knock it over. I see that the soda is getting warm, and I decide I should put it in the refrigerator to keep it cold.

As I head toward the kitchen with the soda, a vase of flowers on the counter catches my eye - they need to be watered. I set the soda down on the counter, and I discover my reading glasses that I've been searching for all morning. I decide I better put them back on my desk, but first I'm going to water the flowers. I set the glasses back down on the counter, fill a container with water and suddenly I spot the TV remote. Someone left it on the kitchen table. I realize that tonight when we go to watch TV, we will be looking for the remote, but nobody will remember that it'son the kitchen table, so I decide to put it back in the den where it belongs, but first I'll water the flowers. I splash some water on the flowers, but most of it spills on the floor. So, I set the remote back down on the table, get a towel and wipe up the spill. Then I head down the hall trying to remember what I was planning to do.

At the end of the day: the car isn't washed, the bills aren't paid, there is a warm bottle of soda sitting on the counter, the flowers aren't watered, there is still only one check in my checkbook. I can't find the remote, I can't find my glasses, and I don't remember what I did with the car keys.

Then when I try to figure out why nothing got done today, I'm really baffled because I know I was busy all day long, and I'm really tired. I realize this is a serious problem, and I'll try to get some help for it, but first I'll check my e-mail.

    ;)

My day was great. My coworker who got fired probably doesn't agree though.

My Level Two tech support team that used to be 5 members is now 3. That part sucks. We are hugely under-staffed.

Boring as hell,I'm pissing away my golden youth years reading threads, plus I've lent my 'downstairs' PC to my brother while I fix his laptop which needs a new motherboard due to his dogs chewing through the power cable and blowing the charging mosfet's,why don't HP put a fuse or something between the mobo and the power lead?

    Sigh....

I wouldn't be buying a new mobo for it for £130 then, plus I don't think a fuse would go down well at the patent office:)

Sorry about your wallet big trucks and sorry for not acknowledging it in my first post.

ok I've been out of comp electronics school since 92-93 so you'll have to forgive my lack there of, but isn't there someway of putting some sort of power/surge protector or such in between. I understand there would be a lot of tweaking, or is that not at all possible with today's computers? Just asking.

No apologies are required here.;) I did this post because I was just so angry at my self and the world, even though the world did nothing with my wallet LOL, and I knew if I told someone I would feel a little better. Plus, Seeing others that have it worse than myself kinda shuts me down to earth again...until I lose or do something dumbrolleyes
