Just spent a fantastic weekend on the Clackamas River fishing for salmon. Didn't catch any but it was great to hang out with our son and his wife at the cabin, BBQ-ing and sitting round the camp fire. So what did you guys get up to?

I spent most of my weekend trying to figure out which one of my cats decided that the litter box was optional and that anywhere else was just as good a place as any.

Fishing, now that sounds like fun. My youngest son has been bugging me to death to go fishing. Hmmmmm...

I worked on some new designs this weekend and fried the volume pot on one of my guitars. Just about have the design finalized but need to completly rewire the guitar to rule out any kind of ground problems and sound issues.

Just take all the strings off your guitars, tie them together and attach to the broom handle and you and your son can go fishing too roflmao. Maybe you will catch a bass LOL OMG that was really bad :D

Cool pics, Lev - what a beautiful area.

I actually worked on Saturday - I work the midnight shift, and got home around 07:00. As a rule, I don't pay a whole lot of attention to weekends, as I work a 5 on/3 off rotation, so my days off shift ahead a day each rotation . . . so, I treat any day I don't have to go to work as a Saturday!! :)

Went to a cookout and ate way too much. It got kinda drunk out after that . . .

Today (well, yesterday now) bought a nifty gas grill and spent the afternoon with my wife putting the thing together and trying it out - nifty little thing and well priced (gotta love Big Lots). Kinda of an impulse buy. Our old grill had seen a few too many seasons and had to be retired this spring. The new one is small, but since the kids have moved out we don't need a really big one. I also worked on my nephew's computer - he bought and installed Vista and was having driver problems . . .

Now I am surfing the net . . . actually this has been an eventfull set of days off considering my boring life . . . :D

Nice pics Lev... beautiful area there, I worked all weekend and then SUnday I had a hair client so I kept working :)

What's really funny, is that every time I read this thread, I keep thinking, darn... I don't look so butch next to Lev.... Sheesh, what's a guy gotta do? LOL Have fun while you can, at some point, the kids stop wanting to hang out with mom and dad!!

Glad you are all enjoying the pics...take with my new Canon S3 IS which I just love!!

This weekend we are heading up to Seattle, some hopefully some more good pics to follow.

@Calltaker - I think our kids have gone through the stage of not wanting to hang out with Mom & Dad and grown back in to it again ;) Not quite sure what to say to the "butch" comment......confused

LOL.. sorry, it just seems that you live a much more exciting life than I currently do, I am either at work, sleeping, cleaning the house or cutting someone's hair... Just a tongue in cheek observation that you seem to have more fun than I do (of the outdoor variety anyways :)) I just haven't had the time, energy or transportation to do the outdoorsy thing yet this year :)

Don't apologize for an observation. Nothing wrong in that - I just didn't understand it, was all. Now I do. I work, sleep, clean house, cut hair, fix computers, remodel our home and all that other jazz too. I guess you just gotta fit in the things you love in life too, so that life has a greater meaning. Even when it gets really hard to do, you just gotta keep on keeping on. See my signature for more details :D

@Mankind...those aren't your hairy legs sticking out the doorway are they? LOL
