howto/posable? network processing

hey gang i for my next geeky project i did some research on network rendering the art or rendering images over multible computers and i saw this computer:

when i saw that i said to myself, thats what i want to do. but i dont image render. woudl it be posable to set up a server network of computers of somesort to add all the processing power together? plz give me some insight, am i crazy or just excesively geeky?

 

i know how to physicly set it up, but not software wise, i was thinking it would liek share loads, like extremely fast load times on battlefeid and stuff
