Hp 17-g121wm Battery 0% Replacement Oem

Need help finding a replacement battery for my laptop.

Test log's Saying Failed.But battery level saying it's at 67% charged.But when it's in windows it says 0%. but plugged in.

Battery life has over 1,500 hours on it.

I have had this laptop run for probably 3 years with very little down time.May be discharged the battery every few months.But other then that the laptop was running all the time.

I am surprised it lasted this long.I think what happened is the other day the power blinked and the laptop had a surge on it.First time for every thing.

The cheaper the better i don't want to spend no more then 60 dollars.

 

Does the notebook work fine running on the charger without the battery installed? If not, the problem may be the charger/power supply.

If the notebook runs fine on just the charger, see this and note the section on calibrating the battery. Note it does not really calibrate the battery. What these routines do is calibrate (synchronize might be a better word) the notebooks battery status and charging circuits to the battery. This ensures when the battery is at 67% charge, the notebook's battery status circuits see that it really is at 67% (just using your number as an example).

If still no luck, then yeah, you may need a new battery.

 

Hp will not re-calibrate the battery.As soon as i unplug the ac adapter it turns off.

Laptop works fine on ac adapter but i don't know i should replace both.

Because of the power surge.

Edit:The Power light on the ac adapter plug on laptop goes from orange to white.Orange means charging. white means charged and powered on.The time is less then 10 seconds between the switch.

 

If it works fine on just the charger, the charger is most likely fine.

As far as a replacement battery, a genuine HP replacement is the only way to guarantee total compatibility. But of course, you pay for it. If you want to go with an aftermarket replacement, just Bing Google HP 17-g121wm battery and see what is out there.

 

I tried that web page several times it is crash's water fox.

Problem must be with Waterfox.

 

Might be the location where it's at every other site i loads fine.

 

I'm using Dolphin... On a smartphone... From South Africa.
No problem with the site.

 

I still don't know whats up with this site.I have uninstalled water fox and went to a knowen stable version in my list.And it seems to use some thing that water fox can not handle.The odd thing is i did not have issues be for i clicked on that link.Even edge is giving me issues.Edge says waiting on top of tab.And this is on my desktop.water fox glitch's when i use that site.
