hp 6210 officejet printer

my friend has a all in one printer, scanning feature driver needs to install because ever time i hit the scan button says software needs to install so i downloaded the driver from online and it wont install with no error messages. The wrong driver is installed what should i do?

 

I'm assuming you're using Windows XP. The full driver is a fairly large download, over 270mb. You can download it from this link. If this is the same driver you're using, try using HPs CDROM order option. They'll ship you the full version original CD for the cost of shipping only. Click this link. there is no error message it just wont install it starts going through the motions, then the window just closes out eventually

 

Uninstall it completely to get rid of the wrong driver. Reboot then try to install it again.
