    hi everyone!!

I hav got problem with bootable installation through USB.:-o

    CONFIGURATION:
    HP 7630s
    RAM: 4 gb
    core 2 duo
    windows 7 ultimate SP1

I need to install Windows 7 Ultimate.
i have prepared bootable USB flash drive (hp 8 gb)
i havent tried this previously, but first time when i tried to boot my Notebook using USB it is not working.
same USB works with other PC,s

in boot configuration boot sequence is also arranged for boot from USB Disk.

but still it is not working....
i have got old DVD drive , it is also not accepting any DVD
so i can not boot through DVD (even any recently written scratch-free DVD).

    Any GURU?

or is there any program to make old installation as new installation i.e. same as formated C Drive?

is there any problem with BIOS? i have latest bios installed on notebook.

Merry Christmas my friend , welcome to MG's :major

You can go into the bios disabling sellecting usb as first device from boot sequence and you must disable all other devices , you can save this and try again :wave

    Hi

I agree with Falconattach above if you have not already do disable any other boot devices in the BIOS and only leave the USB option as 1st bot device.

Also what format is your Windows 7 files in, by that I mean are they in ISO or DVD format?

How did you or what did you use to create the bootable USB stick? (just checking what steps you used)

If you have a DVD then the best option I use is this guide HERE (DO double check what disk you are formatting in steps 3 & 4)
If you have an ISO then this app HERE works perfectly.

    thanks falconattack
    thanks David GP

    Unfortunately nothing worked for me

I have got this solution for my need
    - secure your windows keys using keyfinder.
    - mount image in any virtual drive software
    - connect to internet
    - run the setup file which is in mounted image
    - choose to install
    - choose upgrade
    - select to download new updates [IMP] (not more than 2MB actually)
    - select manual method to install
    - now select your c drive
    - next

magically your old os will rollback and new fresh copy will be installed

    - run disk cleanup to delete windows.old and activate Windows
