HP All in one scanner problem

Okay, I have a HP Laserjet 3330 scanner and constantly fight the "scanner bulb warming up" message...it never does or the "Scanner error, power off, power on" message keeps coming on. It's been a problem for years and I have tried everything...now it is becoming a real continuous problem. I am open for any suggestion that might work. I have researched it for several years...same old stuff and of course HP is no help... never were. I will take & try anything....Help.
