HP DesignJet 650C Plotter

My HP DesignJet 650c (C2859B ) quit printing after my first plot.

I had installed a new HP 40 black ink cartridge and got only one plot.

So I thought it might be a bad cartridge so I put in another new one,
it did the same thing printed once and then didn't print the next plot.

Does anyone out there know what caused this and how do I fix it, one plot
per cartridge is going to get exspensive!!!!!!!!!

i dont know about your problem but I am experiencing problems with my plotter of the same model. i cannot print in black? i have put three cartridges in and still no black?

In addition, i have been told by Pacific Ink that these black cartridges are no longer made. These cartridges have an 18 month shelf life and im afraid that the Black ink cartridges are all "dried up" pun intended.
