Hp Deskjet 970 Series Driver Needed.

Without telling a long story of frustration leading up to this request:

Please can anyone tell me where I can obtain an installable copy of the last published HP driver for my HP Deskjet 970 Cxi.

Yes I know the printer is old, but, like a lot of older generation hardware from HP; my DJ970 printer was still going on strongly. That is until HP pushed an update to the HP Support Assistant on my Touchsmart 310 p.c.; an update that uninstalled and then deleted my printer driver.

( HP excuse, "your printer is out of support life")
All information about HP hardware over ten years old has been 'wiped' from the support servers.

Still struggling with WIN10, I thought I had auto-backup operating, in which case I could have restored from an earlier system build; well NO, the auto -back up had not done any backups since the beginning of the current year. (Give me WIN 2K Pro any day, it works all the time.)

I have had some bad experiences with the commercial driver providers, including refusals to honour money-back warranties. I will willing buy someone's original driver disk, I run WIN 2K Pro. on one older HP P.C. and WIN 10 on my newer HP e-mail PC. Until its erasure the last version of the genuine HP driver ran quite happily under both versions of the WIN OS.
