HP dv2000 laptop

    Not sure where to post this. My question is...someone gave me this laptop, it has not been used, updated or anything since 2009. What do i need to do to bring it back to life. I did go to MS to try nd get updates and it would get them, but when it gets to install it stalls.

    Just to forewarn you, the HP-DV2000 series has had many overheating problems and is very problematic. Sometimes requiring complete Motherboard and or Graphic chip replacement, none of them cheap.
