I have just upgraded from Win2k to WinXp Pro. Everything goes well, except when i boot, or log in. The first thing i see when i enter my desktop is this error:

    HP Extended Keyboard Error

The underlying service is not installed or is not running. The extended keys will be not available. To completly uninstall this program, use the Add/Remove programs utility from the Control Panel. To restore the Extended Keyboard run the setup program again.

What does this mean and how can i fix it? Nothing seems to be wrong with my keyboard, it seems to be working perfectly however...

Also how do i remove the "safely Remove Hardware" icon from the task bar? Its for my wireless adapter...and it has been installed properly...

Do not see any response to your post of last March. Did you get an answer? I am getting same error message after having just upgraded from Win 2000 Prof to XP Prof.
