HP Jornada Pocket PC Problem - Help!

I have never posted to a forum before so please bear with me as I might make mistakes. I have an HP Jornada Pocket PC. The specs on the about page are: Microsoft Pocket PC - version 3.0.11171 (Build 11178) 1996-2001.

Processor: ARM SA110 63.32 M

I use this all the time and for the past week I have had a major problem with it that I cannot figure out. I even purged the Pocket PC this morning and that did not fix it.

When the pocket PC is left on for even a few minutes (sometimes while I am using it) the screen slowly fades away, locks up and then the screen goes black and the error message "BF0208" come on the screen and the pocket pc performs a soft reset on its own.

It also does this when I cradle it to use ActiveSync.

I very much depend on my pocket pc and am lost without it. Does anyone have any suggestions as to what may be wrong and can I fix this myself?
