hp laptop graphic issues

i have an hp zx5180us laptop which has an ati radeon mobility 9200 and when even i try to play a game my computer will become completely unresponsive within 5mins. I havent always had this problem, i had sent in my computer to get the firewire port replaced since it came loose and ever since i had gotten it back it will freeze during gameplay. now my warranty is void and i cant play any of my games. any ideas why this happens? im using the omega drivers 3.8.252
