    Hello everybody:
I have my HP Laptop working with a remote mouse & keyboard. Both used to work fine until 3 or 4 days ago, when I noticed that the arrow of the mouse begun to freeze. At first I thought that the surface in which the mouse was seated was defective, but this begun to happen more and more frequently, then I tried to begun to work with the mouse of the laptop itself and only then is that I noticed that this didn't worked at all. ... At first I thought the problem was with the remote mouse, ... but now that I realize that the laptop's mouse doesn't work, I think that something with the laptop is the source of the problem.

Does somebody have an idea what could be the source of the problem? ... I'll be very thankful for any help with this problem.
    Greetings.

    Possibilities- is it x64, or x32 ?

Only gives drivers for W8.1 (You usually find they work in W10)
    Mouse driver -
    Synaptics TouchPad Driverhttps://support.hp.com/wps/hp-support-product-portlets/resources/images/blueSpat.gif

Try uninstalling mouse/touchpad driver, then restart and see if Windows replaces, and it works- If it does not, try replacing driver (update through device manager) and directing it to the downloaded driver above.
Restart- see if it solves the laptop mouse/pad first- I f so, then I assume the remote mouse means wireless mouse, then reinstall the drivers for it, or let Windowsdo it, and check.

    Hello baklogic [The Tinkerer]:
Thank you for your input. ... If only de remote mouse had being the problem, then I'would guess that this mouse had the problem, but since the mouse of the laptop itself didn't work at all, I thought that in the laptop itself resided the problem, ... but there was something that I forgot to mencion. You could move the arrow in the screen for like 4 inches, then it frozen, .... then it took like 15 seconds and begun to work again for the same distance, and another rest. ... So, after sometime of thinking, I had the sensation that it was something that it was consumed, and then it needed some time to recharge, .... so I decided to try with a new battery, and voila, ... fix the problem (of the remote mouse).
The laptop mouse (action in the surface), does not work at all. ... In the upper left corner of that surface there is a little light that is ON, showing an orange color. ... I suspect that without realizing, I had desconected this surface-mouse, either, touching a wrong key or combination of keys, or maybe some other command that I didn't realize I had done that. ... I'm pretty sure that is something like that, and that there is nothing wrong with the system itself, but of course, I could be wrong. .... let's see what I discover, helpfully with the help of one of you.
Thanks for any help that you could offer.
