HP laptop will not turn on - HP website was no help

Maybe someone can help me with this.
I have a HP dv6915nr (HP Pavillian dv6700) and it will not power up. Only the LEDs for the power button, media play-rewind-forward-volume, and power indicator will blink.

I understand that error codes are provided by the blinking of the capslock, and number lock LEDs but those two do not turn on at all.

The hard drive indicator LED will blink less frequently when I hold down the power button.

If I hold down the power button and hold my ear to the bottom of the laptop I hear a faint high pitched sound.

No hard drive spinning sound
No CPU fan

Altready tried:
Removed memory one by one to test the modules and the slots.
Removing battery and power cord then hold down power for 15 sec.
Reconnected only power cord.
Reconnected only battery.
Same results. (hold down power = blinking power button, play-rewind-forward-volume indicators, power LED, and less frequently HDD LED)

 

I would guess motherboard but that is just a guess

 

I would suggest pulling the hard drive, and attempting to power the laptop up to see if you can still access the BIOS.

If you cannot, that is not a good sign...

 

I have similar problem, Except mine only starts for 3 seconds and then off all light on at time of three seconds. Try removing bios battery to reset bios keep it out of socket for at least 5 minutes, then plug it in and try it.

 

You replied to a 7 month old discussion. Do you really think they are still trying to resolve the issue?
