Hp MediaSmart Webcam won't install

Hey ive been trying to install Hp Media smart webcam and i keep running into problems. The installation runs well but then i get a message saying Hp Mediasmart webcam has been detected on your computer (it has previously been uninstalled) would you like to uninstall it? I click the yes option and the setup process just closes and nothing happens.

You may have to go into the registry and clean any stray registry entries for it. What OS are you using?

I found this at HP's support forum, when I searched for uninstalling.

Use the Uninstall feature of the CC Cleaner . It will solve the problem . The Mediacam soft uses some bat files to install the software . It doesnt even take the %programfiles% variables correctly and makes some entries in the C drive.

Here are about 60 threads when I searched for uninstall Mediasmart webcam, if the above two ideas are not helpful

I downloaded CCleaner but HpMediasmartwebcam does not show up as an installed program
