    I'm working on an HP Pavilion that was running Vista Home Premium. It got a BSOD and the recovery partition was not working. I've tried to use the Vista recovery disk and even tried to reinstall with a installation disk but it always goes back to the BSOD. I've taken out the RAM and tried each of them (4 all together) one at a time but got the same result. I've wiped the HDD clean with a Boot Disk and tried to reinstall but it's supposed to restart, it shuts down. I've rewritten the Western Digital HDD to zeros using the Boot Disk but still get the BSOD. Here is the Stop error message I keep getting. I loaded Vista on it and when I tried to reboot but it kept cycling. Here is the Stop error I get:

    STOP: c000021a {Fatal System Error}
    The initial system process or system process terminated unexpectedly with a status of 0x00000000 (0xc000000 0x0010034c).
    The system has been shut down.

    Hmm, if you're getting a stop during install that doesn't sound good at all.

    Try going into the BIOS and turning off all power saving options. Maybe that is interfering with the setup.

    Thanks for your post. I disabled all of the power saving options but got the same result.
